Nothing ruins a vaping session like a harsh burnt taste. If your disposable vape suddenly tastes burnt, there are a few likely causes — and most of them are easy to understand.
1. The E-Liquid Is Running Out
The most common reason for a burnt taste in a disposable vape is simply that the e-liquid is nearly depleted. When the wick runs dry, the coil heats without liquid saturation and burns the wick material instead, producing that unpleasant charred flavour.
2. Chain Vaping
Taking too many puffs in rapid succession doesn't give the wick time to re-saturate between draws. This leads to dry hits even when there is still liquid in the device.
3. Manufacturing Defects
Occasionally, a disposable arrives with an improperly primed coil or a dry wick from the start. This is less common with quality brands but does happen.
How to Avoid It
Pace your puffs with a few seconds between each draw, and pay attention to flavour changes — a slight drop in intensity is often the first sign your device is running low. When the burnt taste becomes persistent, it is time to replace the device.
